Blonde Ambition

becoming blonde, well yellow was supposed to last just one week while i waited to go 'flaming copper' but it has lasted over a month and i've decided to try for a year at it.

Originally i wanted to be like Joan in MAD MEN or Stephanie from the Pupinni sisters

already i'm having to keep up with the maintence that stripping your hair of any natual goodness and colour will result in.
I use a purple treatment once a week for brassy-ness, a moisturising shampoo and always an intensive conditioner. basically anything i can do to keep it from disintegrating after the four weekly lightening attempts.

bloggers are a helpful source of information, when all the sane people around you think that it's not really a good idea to go more than TWO shades lighter than your natural colour.

i know i shouldn't do it, and that my hair will take AGES to get back to any decent sort of condition or colour but i just don't care enough about that. and i do want to experience being blonde....

like Marilyn, Madonna, GWEN, and so many other of my icons.

blondes are not as popular as they once were so i feel like i'm not doing it to fit in with the in crowd. and as i'm currently more yellow with orange it's fun rocking an edgier Haley from  PARAMORE look.

with my lighter than light skin i have to wear bright colours and have found that foundation becomes a must. i do feel like i should try and TAN UP but realistically i think one drastic change at a time is the best way to go. shortly i'll be more like one of THELMA's GYPSY GIRLs than the PRE RAPHALITE (dark hair fair skin) look i had going before this all started.

Now you need to look for a gentleman....
i do, or maybe it will encourage gentlemanly behaviour, in the man i have?
